I remember this stretch. It was somehow worse than the parts of the city I rode through with no lanes.

Some places have a rule where if the cyclist judges the cycle lane to be unsafe, they should instead ride in the next safest place, which is in the centre of the nearest full size lane.

That’s maddening. I’d deliberately hit the nicest looking car to get a nice lawsuit out of it. It should be on the car owners to check for bikes if they’re opening their doors over a bike lane.

Not fun. Send that to the city and demand they fix that lane.
