Push the world’s suffering on to a single child?

          Would you walk away?

For anyone who hasn’t read it, “The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas” is worth a bit of your time. It’s just a short story, not a long read at all… but a good read nonetheless

Whenever you needed the most depraved, amoral, anti-democratic take on anything, whether it was the Vietnam war or the Khmer Rouge or the civil rights movement, you could always count on Henry farking Kissinger.

Just four more years and then his papers get released. I can’t wait for the juicy details!

I hope he went to heaven because Lemmy doesn’t deserve this shit

If he did, it would be proof positive that the whole concept is a sham.

If one of the worst war criminals in modern history gets to go to heaven, there’s nobody who doesn’t and the whole house of cards comes tumbling down.

Didn’t he win some kind of peace prize for starting the Vietnam War?

Close: he won it for ending it but it later came out that he deliberately extended it in order to help Nixon’s presidential campaign.

Also, he wanted to stop North Vietnamese trains by blowing up the tracks with NUCLEAR WEAPONS in spite of that making no fucking sense except from the standpoint of maximizing death and suffering.

I stopped taking the Nobel Peace Prize seriously when both Kissinger and Arafat won them.
