Title.
There is a minimalism community on lemmy.ml but it’s not active and the mod has been MIA for a long time.
The mod here seems to be active user and just wondering if I could start posting the same type of content that we had on r/minimalism.
Minimalism was in my top 10 favourite subreddits!
Only one way to start: get postin’
Just worried about posting content that this community was not intended for by the owner/mod.
I was looking for minimalism as a “lifestyle” community instead of art or design style.
It is until the mod says otherwise
Roger. Time to post!
currently it has no real purpose other than propagating the minimalist lifestyle and exchanging some views.
I’m hoping we can make this the new community. It’s one of the only R subs I miss.
Agreed! Don’t shy away from posting and commenting, let’s build this community together :)
Any contact from the mod? This c/ is heading in two different directions.
I don’t mind the aesthetic posts when the sub is new and small, but eventually I would like to read more about people living with less junk.
You mean the sudden aesthetics posts? I was surprised about that aswell. No message from the mod. Guess we should ping him: [email protected] (is this how it works on lemmy?)
Yes, it seems that we are already seeing the usual split between the minimalist aesthetic and the minimalist lifestyle.
Maybe it would be worth to decide which content we want to see here and open another community for the other?
Hey yeah, just created the community a while ago and had a busy time until now. I’ll try to specify the core aspects with you.
Thanks for moderating! Whatever we go with, I’m just glad we have a place to discuss!
Thank you very much! Have a good day
Hey yeah I’m still here. Ill try to build this community together with you all.
Hey, I made you a mod. But please remember that this place is relying on the decisions of the users. Please dont use your mod tag to post personal things and behold from any from any attempt to use your mod rights to pursue personal interests or opinions. This is an adult community and users do not need to be patronised.
But now you are really one of us, one of us happy lemming sounds
In 100% agreement. I’m not the gatekeeper of minimalism and have no agenda. Only hoping to add.
Great, it’s nice to have you on board ;) Didn’t mean to sound offensive. It’s more of a general info, so nobody can say I’m prioritizing anybody or whatever.
