They are only offering me a deal to upgrade to Premium for the next 18 days for 86 cents, THEN they’ll charge me the full amount for the year. So basically I’m being penalized for when my subscription ends.

What the actual hell is this?

I wonder if the price changes based on how much time is left in your current subscription? Looks like yours is set to renew on the 20th so this is definitely a bad deal lol

It’s an insult to the user. This may be my last Sony console.

On the bright side. Your DualSense controllers will work very well on SteamOS

It’s because it’s the price to upgrade your current subscription for the remainder of its length, you only have a little bit of time left, would you rather pay for the full price of the subscription and lose the remainder of your other one?

It would be better to give a fixed amount of benefit instead of a random amount depending upon when you first joined PS+.

I just happened to get a great deal from this accidentally.

My subscription renews on Dec. 1, and my credit card company actually flagged the $135 or so for the middle-tier service that Sony tried to put on my card as suspicious so they didn’t process the payment. As a result, my plan was canceled for a moment.

But when I looked at renewing, they were running this 30% off deal, and I was able to get Premium for $111. So…I went with that of course.

As an aside: it’s wild to me Sony doesn’t let everyone do game trials. Or at least stream game trials. I tried Baldur’s Gate 3 over streaming with this Premium plan and ended up buying it.
