Hey everyone! I was facing an issue with Hogwarts Legacy, so I decided to check out what the sub on reddit had (basically the game crashes right when the warning message comes up at the start). I know about the protest and stuff, and I could access a few posts from cached pages via google. Not all posts were cached, and they aren’t really up to date.
How can I access information from the subreddit?
Copy the link from Google, enter it in https://web.archive.org/ And hope someone has archived it.
I guess it’s the best option for now. I was hoping there was a secret method I missed.
Thanks for your help!
There are a few Reddit archiving websites as well. Places like reveddit (I don’t think this works when the community goes private) and unddit (the project that archived stuff in this way was banned by Reddit last month so anything newer than that won’t come up).
Just try replacing the front part of the link (the “re”) with “un” or “reve” Ex:
reddit.com/r/Hogwarts…
unddit.com/r/Hogwarts…
reveddit.com/r/Hogwarts…
Please post the solutions here so people won’t have to go back to referring to Reddit.
You didn’t post any information about your system, so we can’t help you there.
But try clearing the shader cache:
“Search for a folder called “GLCache” on your computer. The location could vary but mine is inside the Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64”
Sure. In my case I gave up and used LinuxRulez! version, which worked great!
Could be useful to know more information, such as:
- Compatibility Layer used?
- Linux Distro used?
- Method of installation?
Normally I would avoid use cracked games on Steam, there could be some conflict I guess. Lutris would be better.
