    Both buttons are a way to erase or clear an entry. The CE (clear entry) button clears the most recent entry while the C (clear) button will clear all input to the calculator. So, if you are typing a long computation and make a mistake, press the CE button as it will delete just the last digit.

    Looked it up to make sure.

    C = wipe all memory

    CE= clears current number

      Sounds backwards. CE surely stands for “clear everything”

        Almost correct. CE stands for “Complete Eradication”. Some of the more expensive models have been weaponized.

      The last time I read about this, the consensus was which key does what depends on the manufacturer. There is no standard that always works.
