Oh wow. It would not be an exaggeration to say I’ve waited years for this.

Oh man, wish we had known about this sooner

My kit arrived way early so I was worried they’d be a little dull and stale by today, but I needn’t have worried. They all had plenty of clarity and character, and the decafs were basically all the best decaf I’ve tasted. Overall I liked the non-decaf one the best, but it was surprising how little difference there was in quality.

That was a lot of fun!

I’m pretty sure I could pick Swiss water process out from a blind taste. The aftertaste it leaves is quite distinctive for me. Maybe because I’ve had many? 🤷‍♂️

The rest was really interesting because I’ve never had another decaf process. Only one of the two kits I ordered arrived in time, so it’ll be interesting to taste how they differ. From this first kit, the sugar cane was head and shoulders above everything else, including the cafinated!

The roasters nearest to me were all out by the time I watched the announcement video, so I won’t be joining in. I think it’s a neat idea though, and I hope everybody has a great time.

I got busy with other things and forgot to order.🤷🏼‍♂️ Watching the video right now, just out of curiosity. I’m just happy to see decaf being taken seriously. I often would love a cup of coffee after dinner without spoiling my night’s sleep.
