Summary

The CDC confirmed the first severe U.S. case of H5N1 bird flu in Louisiana, linked to exposure to sick and dead birds in a backyard flock.

This marks the first backyard flock-related case in the U.S., though 61 human cases of H5 bird flu have been reported since April 2024.

The virus belongs to the D1.1 genotype, found in wild birds and recent cases in Canada and the U.S.

There is no evidence of person-to-person spread, and public health risk remains low. The CDC advises precautions for those exposed to infected animals.

Hey non-voters, when Trump and Brainworm fuck this up and millions of Americans die, remember that you chose this. You knew this was on the table. I know I’m not going to hear a word of complaint from any of you, not on your deathbed nor at your loved ones’, not even once. Not one word, not one huff, not one facial expression. This is what you wanted.

Blame a couple of thousand resigned people and not the disgusting fucking system. Way to go.

There’s lots of blame to pass around. “Economy” voters, protest and disinterested non-voters, the DNC, mainstream media and of course the fascists who eagerly support Trump through his shit show

Your attempt at deliberate misinterpretation has been declined - insufficient wit. Can I show you something in a “pretend to be aloof”?

first part might even be up for debate, weren’t there a couple of cases recently with no known connection to infected animals or food products?

This will absolutely blow over and not end up being another pandemic, a little birdie told me so.

I find it interesting that this was transmitted from a backyard flock. I have 5 chickens in my back yard and I don’t really see other birds get close to them - not to say it doesn’t happen. Anyways, looking forward to getting severely ill from this.
