I worked there, not complicated. They allow for troll farms cause they don’t violate their ToS. So many far right groups/movements run by admins that live in eastern Europe…

You worked at Facebook? What’s the culture like? Always wondered if it was “just a job” kind of feeling or did they truly drink Zucks koolaid?

It all depends on department. If you work in data or product development there is a lot to like because honestly FB internal tooling is in a class of its own. Feels like working 5 years in the future.

If you are in role that interacts with content you see first hand the problems of things done from the top down. The contingent workers see a bulk of it, and also received the worst pay and least benefits. There is definitely a caste system at play, but if you are FTE life is pretty good.

Right? What a stupid article. The answer is a resounding YES. Facebook knowingly profited off misinformation and rage. They don’t give two shits if they cause societal collapse by eroding confidence in our institutions so long as they make a buck in the process. Fuck Facebook and Mark Fuckerberg.

Complicated? How’s it complicated? The answer is absolutely yes with no room whatsoever for misinterpretation.
