So they are happy to deal with the costs of obesity? Or won’t they cover costs for that, too?
If the insurance company’s job isn’t to negotiate lower costs, what are we paying them for? It would be like a Costco membership where the store was full of overpriced goods.
Please think of the shareholders!
(IBX is a non-profit)
Virtually all of IBX’s businesses are for-profit and pay taxes, though its highest level holding company is a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation.
I’m too stupid to understand this
I really doubt the cost of Ozempic and others is more expensive than the health conditions the obese are otherwise prone to. Granted, if you’re also denying those treatments, then I guess it doesn’t matter…
Doesn’t matter when you only know you have to pay for someone’s health for a contract year.
Big brain logic
I hadn’t thought of that. That’s probably it.
Fuck IBX. I’m sick of getting surprise bills. Specialist in network? Great! Too bad the lab they use isn’t, or the procedure they want to do isn’t fully covered. The doctor will be sure to not let you know because how they hell should they. If I never see the word coinsurance again it won’t be soon enough
