Aphex Twin is one of those artists that, on paper, I should be all over. I know how intricate his music is, I can hear his talent for sound design, I usually love that kind of geeky, overtly complex music. But when I actually sit down and listen to it… it just doesn’t do it for me, I get bored after two tracks. I have no idea why.

Aphex Twin new compilation, Music from the Merch Desk (2016-2023), is now available on streaming platforms. This 38-track collection features songs Aphex Twin exclusively sold on vinyl during his live shows and DJ sets, giving many fans their first chance to experience these tracks.
Earlier this year, Aphex Twin reissued his seminal 1994 album Selected Ambient Works Volume II as a box set, marking the 30th anniversary of the groundbreaking release. Warp Records also hosted a special listening party for his music in October at London’s Tate Modern, giving attendees an immersive exploration of his sonic world.
