Ordered this from a local spot for our Christmas Eve dinner. Crabs, shrimp, crawfish, mussels, lobster, sausage, potatoes, and corn, all in a buttery garlicky spiced sauce. Happy holidays, y’all!

Nice! And pouring a glass of boiljuice to drink is the icing on the cake!

Did you pour it on the table for everyone to grab?

No. That would have been awesome! It was just the wife and I. We might do that with friends soon.

If you pour them on the table they may not be friends any more…

Me, as a person coming from an area with a large tradition about seefood and food in general I feel irritated that this pictures is able to get the status of foodporn. :D

I mean, OP, with all the due respect, but if you enjoy that type of food you can not lose the opportunity to try it in a fisher traditional area prepared in the traditional way.

Hope you like it even more!!!

I would not go fundamentalist here. Seafood is amazing anyway you cook it (except actual fish. Boiling fish should carry the death penalty). Crabs are harder to grill, but can be done. BBQ, grill, boil, in sauce. Some, like oysters, sea urchins, raw. Or raw in sushi, or in cakes… Seafood is just great. Oh, and try shrimp sous-vide. 20 minutes, 60º C. Oh.my.GOD!!!

I am gonna have to try that with shrimp. Are you adding butter, seasonings, etc to the bag with the shrimp?

What area do you come from? Seafood boils are pretty traditional. Would love to hear about the food from your area!
