Summary

Officials in Lincoln County, Oregon, have condemned an anonymous letter urging residents to report “brown folks” suspected of being undocumented immigrants.

Sheriff Curtis Landers called the letter harmful and divisive, affirming the county’s commitment to inclusivity and non-cooperation with immigration enforcement per Oregon’s 1987 sanctuary law.

Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum and Toledo Mayor Rod Cross also denounced the letter, which includes threats of a January 2025 immigration roundup.

While not criminal, the letter has been reported to the FBI.

    “while not criminal”

Hmmm. Making threats? Of a political nature in order to coerce change?

In my neck of the woods, we call that “domestic terrorism”, but they freely admit that to the world:

So Lincoln county is on the coast, around Newport. And Rural Oregon has lots of racism and trumpster attitudes.

I’m sure you know this, but Portland has always had an element that is “that” weird.

Makes sense, given that Oregon was founded as a “whites only” state.

Wasn’t repealed until 1926. Targeted native americans and black people primarily.

          Ghoulish fucking horseshit.
