It’s weird to me that vanilla and chocolate have a similar history and applications but vanilla got designated as plain and boring at some point.
It’s because the way most places and brands did vanilla WAS super plain and boring back when there was like two or three flavors.
It’s like John Oliver described Neapolitan ice cream: “vanilla for the squares, strawberry for the perverts, and chocolate for the rest of us.”
Those and sometimes nougat (which was actually just vanilla with small pieces of nougat) if you were lucky.

Vanilla is my favorite flavor and I get so angry when people make fun of it as boring.

Vanilla is an exotic orchid seedpod steeped in alcohol to extract its flavor. Gale is just plain. Its like if sugar was an ice cream flavor.
Gale is neither plain nor exotic. He’s an arse. His flavour is arse because he is one.
Except Gale’s also pretty high on his own supply and emotionally an incel teenager. I mean yea he can get better but like the guy is all red flags especially with how easy it is to get him to do all the wrong things just so he can get revenge on the girlfriend HE “cheated” on. The rest of the rant is spoilers but if you know, you know. Gale kinda sucks and having to be constantly told to do the right thing doesn’t make him attractive even if he does mostly listen.
