Explanation: John Brown was an American abolitionist who lived shortly before the US Civil War. The man was fucking tired of no-progress backsliding bullshit, so he decided to take matters into his own hands, engaging in several anti-slavery partisan actions which involved the killing of slavers. Unlike many, he used his religious faith for good - he was certain that God had mandated that all people were equally His children, and channeled that faith into unyielding righteous fury on behalf of Black and Native American folk.

He was executed shortly after attempting to begin a mass slave revolt to end slavery once and for all, and became a martyr in the anti-slavery North.

Turning Point USA would probably be pro-slavery given the option, tbh.

John Brown was awesome. As a Christian, he’s one of my heroes, alongside Fred Rogers and Jimmy Carter.

    They’re very interesting company.

Isn’t Turning Point a very hyperChristian far-right think-tank, now? Hey, your imaginary friends are cool, to be clear, but I don’t need them thinking for me, even if you’re cool with it.

And do they still have the error in the name of the founder in their logo?
