There is no full moon in the day time. The only time the moon is full is when it is basically opposite side of the Earth from the sun.
Because of refraction in the Earth’s atmosphere, we can see more than 180 degrees of the ecliptic.
So, a full moon rises just before the sun finishes setting. The moon in this image isn’t low enough to be plausibly rising. Maybe we’re looking East and in the West the sun is just setting… except then the sky wouldn’t be as blue and the shadows would be more pronounced, and the moon is several moon widths above the horizon. Moon’s width is 0.5 degrees and the refraction effect at its maximum is about a degree in ideal conditions.
I think you’re thinking about it too hard. The moon is lit when it appears in the sky during the day. Plus werewolf magic is already weird.

TLDR: I liked the comic but my stupid brain felt it necessary to make that pointless comment, but I learned some more.
Definitely not a full moon and a full moon would either be just setting as the sun came up or just rising as the sun came down.
(I used to fly in helicopters and one of my favorite moments, is when we would launch just before sunset, be heading east, and we would have the moonrise in front of us as, just after the sun set. In east county, San Diego, heading to the desert, it looked so huge and magical. Never looked the same when we tried to photograph, but it was always amazing to see.)
