For some reason my inbox items keep showing replies to my earlier posts as unread even though I’ve read them (and even clicked on them to go back to the actual comments). As a result, I have the little red dot on the Inbox icon. Am I doing something wrong?

I have the same problem. Doesn’t matter how many times I click on it or the original thread, it still says I have unread messages.
One thing you can do is click the “mark all as read” button at the top. I’m sure they’ll fix it but, in the meantime, you can do that.

Theres a button at the top right of the screen, looks like an open envelope: that will clear your inbox. It was not intuitive, and sometimes when I reply it clears and sometimes it does not.
