I’m waking up so I read the title and watched and thought the terrorists looked too well equipped, then I realized it said IDF.

Why is a military with top notch intelligence and superior equipment hiding soldiers in an ambulance?

The military strategy reason: PIJ runs Nablus and has been actively fighting back against the IDF and PA in the current round of escalatory raids. The old cities and refugee camps are a warren of tall narrow streets that larger military vehicles struggle to traverse, and are spotted from miles away, allowing militants time to set up ambushes or flee.

The real reason: Because they can abuse protected symbols at will, and know that nobody is going to hold them or their leadership responsible for war crimes.

Perfidy, right?
