Love that in the book they discuss Tom at the Council of Rivendell. People would otherwise wonder about giving him the ring like the whole “eagles to Mount Doom” thing since it’s not explicitly stated why Leeroy Jenkins-ing towards the most powerful being and army in Middle Earth would be a bad idea…
