Why did somebody actively edit out her name? That’s quite crappy. Usually it’s just in the bottom right.

Why did somebody actively edit out her name?

In this case it was most likely she herself. The original black and white comic has the name, but the colorized version was most likely been taken from her shop (link), which doesn’t feature the name.

I’m however impressed by how utterly the person copying the picture messed up the picture. Not only is the crop completely awful, but they also tried to “restore” the comic by giving it a digital look, over-saturating everything in the process, including the JPEG artifacts of the original photo.

First thing I noticed on this was that they erased her name. Very lame. Edit: I reported it, removing author credit seems like it should break rules.

Was this always coloured in? I’ve always seen it in b+w.

This is a crisis in my house right now. We adopted a trio of siblings when they were kittens and they have mostly got along great. But there have now been two incidents when the big orange male drew blood from his calico sister. The first went unnoticed at first and developed into a full infection requiring surgery and a drain tube and weeks in the cone, all for poor little innocent calico sister. Then again recently he cut a long slice down the bridge of her nose that made it look like her face was about to fly off her skull like a rubber band snapping. In between all this: months and years of cuddling and play. Now we’re sitting here wondering if it is responsible to wait for a third episode.

Get those calming pheromone dispensers. It should help cats get used to each other peacefully.

You might be able to mitigate the damage by trimming their nails down but this would need to be done frequently.

Mine (sisters from the same litter) love each other but usually show it by play-fighting and messing with each other rather than obvious displays if affection 😄

Makes it even more precious when they DO snooze together or groom each other though 🥰

Mine also began as sparring partners, but are gradually getting more loving towards each other.

Well they do that with their own tails as well, it’s just hardwired for cats to become chaos

We had one that did that. Apparently it can happen after they’ve had a trauma, which she had (some sort of infection that put her in the hospital for a few days). We woke up one morning to blood all over the house. All. Over. The. House. My wife took her to the animal hospital while I cleaned the mess.

The vets weren’t able to get the wound to heal, and she ended up losing part of her tail.

Contrary to what I’d always heard, it didn’t affect her ability to jump, or anything else that I could see.

(When I told this story on reddit, someone claimed, “That never happened!” So I posted a picture of her tail bandaged up. No apology, of course. I have no idea what someone would think I would have to gain by making up such a story.)

She passed away four years later from a long list of medical issues. To this day, when we see pictures of her before her tail was docked, we say, “It’s the long-tailed tabby!”

        Wow that’s kinda sad.

We had one that did that as well, but he was just dumb as nails. He would be laying down with his tail around him so it’s at his face (looong tail). Then he would hit himself in the face on accident with his tail, this would piss him off so his tail would start wagging in his face. This pissed him off even more so he would grab his tail and bite it, but as soon as he felt that he would realize what he just did and start grooming his tail. Playing it off like he didn’t just do something stupid, but was just grooming normally. He did this a lot, because he wasn’t always the smartest of the bunch.

I’ve seen my cat do exactly this. Not very often, but it happens.

He’s not a smart cat, but he does have a tail he can cover his eyes with for naps.
