    I am curious how MLs justify the imperialism of ML states. Is it something like: MLs have to establish a counter empire, to contend with and oppose US hegemony and the “Western” empire? Like, “the liberals/capitalists do it, so we have to do it too,” kind of a thing? Like an imperialism arms race? “They have an empire, so we need to have an empire, too, to protect ourselves from them” kind of thing?

      It’s ‘liberation’ when they do it, not imperialism.

      So, you know, exactly the line conservatives elsewhere use.

    I say controlled oppositions and creation of a false dichotomy. Telling people you have to be against them (conservative) or fully with them (tankie)
