        It would be cooler if it wasn’t so blurry. I know that’s hard to correct for, but still.

            I was referring to the new one. My eyes actually hurt a bit trying to focus on the horizon.

              Hmm, strange. Looked like a pretty clear pic to me. Remember that the pic in the article is almost certainly a compressed version of the original from the NASA site.

    Seriously? This is not that good, it’s universes away from being “the best photo from space - ever”. It’s not even close to the best from the ISS.

      Aside from being a cool looking pic, I think it’s because of what’s in it. From the article:

      In this image, one can see the core of the Milky Way galaxy, zodiacal light (sunlight diffused by interplanetary dust), streaks of SpaceX Starlink satellites, individual stars, an edge-on view of the atmosphere that appears in burnt umber due to hydroxide emissions, a near-sunrise just over the horizon, and nighttime cities appearing as streaks.
