Note the use of the dog whistle “dilute” in the German context. He knows exactly what means and anyone who isn’t interested in obfuscating the truth should call it out

He needs to stop beating around the bush and say it. We all know his mask is slipping but somehow a vast swath of people seem to be feigning ignorance.

He could come right out and say “Yes, I’m a nazi.” There would still be a ton of people who would say “Oh, he doesn’t mean that kind of nazi.” or “He’s just joking because he wants to piss off the liberals!”

The people aren’t going to be able to admit that they supported a fascist takeover of our government, not even when there’s soldiers goosestepping in the streets.

We’re seeing the rise of White nationalism fueled by defending their version of “white culture” across the globe and centered in the US. Seems to be popular among people of Germany and Anglo-Saxon ancestry, but not unpopular with everyone else, including other Europeans.

For almost 80 years, an important part of German culture has been to fight Nazis and wannabe Nazis.

So fucking crazy that a south African who lives in America is telling Germany not to mix cultures. Doesn’t really make sense until you think about the fact that they’re just talking about being white.

Being German means coming from a country that didn’t even exist before 1871 and formed out of many cultures and small realms. Germany is and most of the time was a country of many different people, a country of migration and immigration and that’s what made us strong!

Fuck Nazis and fuck Musk and the right-wing parties!

A country that didn’t truly exist in its current form until 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell and two differently-governed landmasses were joined again, and unified Democratic governance began. (Counting territory, governance, name, culture as the usual delineations of what makes a nation.)

Deutschland is a Millennial. The heritage: avocado schnitzel.

The identity of German and German nationalism are older than 1871. German nationalism started around 1770, but even before that the HRE ruled mostly over German speaking people and created some shared identity.

It’s good to be proud of German values, but racism and being a nazi are not German values. Tolerance, punctuality and „Lüften“ are German values.

It’s good to be proud of yourself and your own values

My values are part German, part American, part Mexican, part Dutch, part Canadian… I pick the best of each culture and make them my own.

Just pick the best parts, the parts that make you a better human being, and then it’s great to be proud of yourself. This musk stain saying thatulti cultural values is bad is suggesting that other cultures are less, somehow. It’s bullshit and it’s dangerous.

The path musk is in, currently, is also dangerous for himself. Tides will turn, they always do, and as far as he has gone, his name will be first when the crowds are building gallows. When WWII ended, most nazi followers were pardoned, because of course. You can’t kill everyone who makes a mistake, theyd have to kill almost everyone. However, the ring leaders, those got a special treatment

If he tells us the truth, the media, especially the American media, will have lots of punditry debates and discussions about whether or not his love of Nazi Germany means he loves Nazis. And I’m sure his never actually evaluated autism (which he calls Asperger’s, a now discarded medical term but one favored by the Nazis) will be brought up.

I was diagnosed with aspergers and that’s still my diagnosis on paper just fyi. I do call it autism these days though.

Either way it’s cool that all of us autistic folks can get away with anything we want these days I guess. Fucking ableists.

Yeah, it’s a bullshit excuse in every way. And there’s just no evidence that he has ever been diagnosed. He’s just declared it, and probably because he thinks it’s a “get out of asshole free” card, which it is not. I have yet to meet a high-functioning autistic person who has trouble with basic concepts of right and wrong. Maybe they make mistakes, but when you say, “that’s rude” or whatever, they generally acknowledge it and apologize.

My family has quite a few autistic people in it, including my daughter. None of them would ever, ever “accidentally” do a Nazi salute when they were excited.

I don’t see why anyone would either. It’s a very specific gesture that doesn’t really come naturally to anyone tbh. Humans don’t generally go around saluting eachother in excitement, and that goes for any salute. Nazi or otherwise.

I guess he wasn’t using twatter for that as that is notoriously unreliable, last time it failed badly o nhim

Having said that, I think it’s fair to say that Musk is a danger to both democracy in general, and currently to Germany specifically. Germany should ban him, and label him as what he is: a wannabe tyrant dictator.
