  • You don’t, and they aren’t. No one is stealing a 57.3 pound bike frame, especially if you’ve put a decent lock on it and a stationary object. You can take the battery with you inside, and for work, you probably want to so you can recharge it. Most E-bikes are damn heavy even without the 7.5 pound battery. I’ve owned two so far, and noone has ever fucked with either one. Got the second one after the first one’s motor burned out after almost 11,000 miles.

  • With the update, even if you don’t have the DLC, fluids have been rebalanced. You just have to place a pump every 200-250 tiles and everything flows.

For oil specifically, you don’t need anything but petroleum until what used to be late game. So just build a few (like a dozen) refineries and make sure that there’s actually oil coming in.

Once you actually need lubricant, and light oil, set up chemical plants to turn heavy oil into lube and light oil, and light oil into petroleum. It won’t be fast, but it won’t clog and it will produce what you need, slowly. You can use storage tanks as a buffer for your lube, light oil, and petroleum. Heavy oil isn’t used as a direct input for any assembler recipe.

I consider myself a Factorio apprentice, as I have yet to actually set up a proper train system. I’m slowly learning circuit logic, but can get to Gelba without getting stuck.

Don’t stress optimization, brute force works as well.

According to my father, who is an absolute Epic Wizard level computer programmer consultant, Factorio teaches you the basics of computer programming.

  • If you can afford it bring a burner phone that you paid for with cash and isn’t attached to any of your accounts, that uploads to a cloud account whose contents will be automatically released if you don’t put in a password every X amount of time.

Attach the back of your sign to a baseball bat with duck tape. Bunting doubles as self defence, that’s difficult to prove that you weren’t just defending yourself.

They’re going to get violent. Expect it. Open carry. The more of us that are armed, the more they retreat rather than starting a shooting war with us.

  • I can build you one that has Linux ready to go. That’s literally what I do, IRL. I build custom PCs for university students and professors, foster dogs, and grow marijuana. The real issue is that I cannot recommend any particular distro over another. I personally would suggest Linux Mint for most users, but if you are using your computer for more high end stuff, like 3d rendering, AutoCAD, or AAA gaming, there are other distros that are more finely tuned for those purposes.

Try out mint. Throw it on an older machine and use it instead of your daily driver. When you encounter issues, just ask in c/Linux. Most of us are friendly and will help even the newbiest of newbs, because we were all there once as well.

After a few months, you should feel comfortable enough to either totally nuke windows, (how I did it because I am lazy,) or set up a dual boot partition on your drive so that you can choose to boot into windows if you really need to do so. Warning. Windows will overwrite your boot sector every single time it updates, killing the ability to dual boot until you fix the sector.
