It’s also possible to play PS5 whilst being to ill to work. In civilised countries, you can (and should) take a couple of days off for minor illnesses - don’t spread that shit at work

Yes, I’m on my second week of sick leave in Germany, struggling to get rid of some virus & laryngitis that I got on a work trip, so now I have to rest and not speak at all.

Currently playing TLOU on my PS Portal. It feels “wrong”, but then I realize I’d rather be healthy and back to work (and also do more productive personal things that I can’t now, like go to the gym).

I forgot Sony made that. Why not get a Steam Deck, or one of the alternatives? The portal doesn’t have any storage, and if you have stick drift you have to buy another.

I would assume it’s because they would like to play PlayStation games, not PC games.

But isn’t just cloud gaming? Which needs a solid connection… Unlike every other handheld system, that has the games on storage, or cartridge? I don’t understand cloud gaming.

If you’re living in a home with modern wi-fi and fiber Internet, the latency isn’t much worse than a typical 4K TV outside of its built-in game mode. For many, many titles on console, this type of input lag is acceptable.

Admittedly I know the product isn’t very popular, but for those who enjoy PS games, it’s a pretty neat device.

Personally I just keep stuff on my PS5 and if I can’t be in my living room I guess I’ll wait to play :-)

It helps that I also own a Steam Deck

I think it’s at least somewhat common in non-US countries. At least from what I’ve seen.

That’s why they specified “civilised” countries, and not the US

        It’s a favourite dig nowadays :)

Haha. Good point. Glad I’m not there, or from there.

Startup tune? LOL I don’t even remember what that sounds like for the PS5, but boy do I remember the beep.

There was an update a while ago that lets you turn it off if you want. I’ve almost forgotten it’s sound. Almost.

I never heard it before, was it annoying?

In the latest update, it added a setting to turn that beep off. It’s glorious.

Why does that PS5 has an XBox controller?

I’m in a situation where I work only three days a week and get by just fine. As much as I love not having to work 5 days a week, I’m not really feeling “free”. Mostly because I still can’t find to do stuff.
