Its the emojis. The LLM has learned that the emojis correspond to letters and can thus use it to communicate without being subject to censorship.

They are not actually letter emojis hence why I suspect it not showing them all for u. Eg 🇦 🇺 when next to each other without the space becomes 🇦🇺. U can use the letters to spell out any 2 letter country code and that represents the emoji for that flag. It also allows u to type the emoji of flags for countries not officially recognised Eg 🇹🇼, 🇸🇴, 🇨🇾, 🇦🇧, 🇸🇴.

This is part of a longer thread. The user first asks the question in plain text, to which the model replies “Sorry, can’t talk about that!”. The user then tries it in Morse code, to which the model provides the answer that it’s Taiwan, and emojis, where the answer is the one shown here.
