There’s the whole TikTok thing, talk about EV cars, and now DeepSeek. I know I’ve heard my own stuff too, but I want to see what other people are hearing and seeing?

You ever played video games like Stellaris, where galactic civilizations gain bonuses for declaring other civilizations their rival?

This is that, but in real life. By being antagonistic, each nation can gain a citizen production bonus by taking advantage of their nationalistic pride. These citizens are then more likely to seek out and purchase products made in their own country, thus recycling the money back into their own economy, giving an economic bonus as well.

Deepseek was created for like $6mil whereas the American AI companies are spending billions for a supposedly inferior product (I use neither so can’t say). It just goes to show what a scam the American economy is and the capitalists are really really butthurt about it, especially because deepseek is sort of open source, people can download the code and run in locally train it on their own data and not be subject to Chinas censorship rules. For free.

So lots of (imo inorganic) China hate going on social media rn.

Everything you said is absolutely true. It is massively easier and cheaper to do stuff when there are no rules or regulations. Why do think the .01% are hell bent on crippling education, killing regulation enforcement, and removing any possibility of consequences?

I’m not sure how your comment relates to mine re deep seek?

They want to kill education because a dumb population is too stupid to know they’re being exploited and too historically ignorant to know that they could rise up in a heartbeat and put the .01% out to pasture. It’s why back during slavery they prohibited the slaves from becoming literate. It’s why they don’t want people going to college anymore - too many “woke communists” come out.

You quote the prices of the AIs as if the difference in price means something. And the general tone of your post makes it feel like you are saying that being able to do it cheaper is clearly better.
My point is that it’s only cheaper in the short and narrow view. It is cheaper for a select few, but the cost is massively higher for everyone else.

The price difference means everything because it’s a money laundering public theft operation for the American oligarchs. Not only is deep seek doing it cheaper (with your stupid boogeyman at what cost! China bad! pearl clutching) but it uses a tiny fraction of the energy and water the fraudulent American options do.

Why is America investing $500 BILLION IN TAXPAYER MONEY into this waste when China can do it for $6 million? At what cost? Dude, AT WHAT COST TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC?! 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Oh are you worried about data??? Oh boy I got a bridge to see you in Brooklyn if you think the American oligarchs give a flying fuck about your data. Meanwhile Sam Altman of open ai wants iris scans (!!!) and one of the ideological inspirations for the technofascists - Curtis Yarvin - is calling for the genocide of the poor except let’s just give them augmented reality in prison because it’s more humane and they’ll use iris scans to control everyone:

In “Friscorp,” as Yarvin calls the San Francisco realm, an all-seeing Orwellian surveillance system would enforce public safety: “All residents, even temporary visitors, carry an ID card with RFID response. All are genotyped and iris-scanned. Public places and transportation systems track everyone. Security cameras are ubiquitous. Every car knows where it is, and who is sitting in it, and tells the authorities both.”

The Chinese pale in comparison to what the American technofascists are planning.
