I’ve been thinking about this lineup since last night and I think it might be why I never really got into Metallica or Slayer either. Risking controversy here but as much as I love the thrash sound, those early bands all kinda come across as macho meatheads a little bit to me. The kind of people that beat up kids that listened to heavy metal back in school. And a lot of the older fans of these bands that were around when I was just starting to go to metal clubs and shit gave me those vibes too.

So I’m not sure what Black Sabbath’s excuse is but the rest here seem kinda like birds of a feather to me.
