This week I’m zooming in on the culture of the fediverse, prompted by the Superbowl halftime show. IFTAS announces they’ll run out of funding soon, indicating the challenges with funding Trust & Safety in the network.

Browsing through all posts made with the hashtag #superbowl gave me more than five times as much superb pictures of owls as it gave me posts about the halftime show.
This never ceases to amuse me. Shoutout to @[email protected] of [email protected].
Next year’s goal is now clear… 10x as much owl content!
Not sure if owls count as counterculture, but they definitely don’t like people telling them what to do.
