      My uneducated guess: the truck driver forgot to pull down the trailer lift after dumping whatever it was carrying

        This doesn’t explain why a truck can drive at double digits mph with the trailer up.

        That’s like the most basic safety mechanism the manufacturer could implement.

          But yeah a safety feature would be easy to implement. It could be a buzzer that goes off or a enforced max speed of like 10-20 mph as long as the trailer isn’t locked in the down position.

          Well they are two separate vehicles coupled together, so it’s two manufacturers who must cooperate.

    The best part of this is knowing without a doubt, this dude had at least 50 separate people try to be good semaritans and pull up next to him and warn him by honking.

    And then he thought “what’s everyone deal today?” Then BAM

      I’m surprised he didn’t tip on the entrance ramp. Makes me think he dumped his load at some highway construction and had barely started going before this happened
