“USA vs Luigi” & “The People vs Luigi”…

Can someone more well-versed in legalese please explain why the cases were given those titles?

IANAL, but as I understand it’s “People v” in cases where a state’s DA serves as the prosecutor and “USA v” in cases where a DOJ attorney serves as prosecutor

So it’s just the same case 3 times and they’ll see what sticks?

Just because his family is well-off doesn’t mean they are paying for his legal defense. I donated. I hope you do too.

Even if he does not need it, just having ton of people donating, even if its like 5 bucks, sends an important message to the parasite class.

      We see you.

In fact number of people donating here is more important than the USD value imho. Luigi is an American hero now and we don’t even know if he actually deposed that parasite Brian Thompson.

Yeah, and it sends a positive message to any future Luigi’s that don’t have his kind of resources

Still don’t know why he’s being charged.

I have hard evidence he was smoking weed with Tupac and me in a nonextraductable country.

People are still obsessing over this dumb fucking fake Italian killing someone? Does nobody realize CEOs don’t make fucking decisions? Like you think that CEO is going “Beth from Illinois? Nope. Denied.” No, you fucking dumb shits, THE BOARDS MAKE ALL THE DECISIONS. This one dude wasn’t responsible for any of that shit, in fact, he probably didn’t even know the team of people WHO WAS responsible for that shit. I swear, this single case has shown how fucking retarded the left is. You think CEO = Makes all the decisions. You people are truly, truly, dumb as fucking shit. Go research how boards, investors, and companies fucking work. The CEO wasn’t responsible for shit. And you’re all sick-riding a retarded murderer.

I appreciate that you clarified. The c/whatevercommunityhere makes more sense now. Never gave it a thought prior.

            Happy to be of service!

I don’t really like saying “the Lemmy equivalent of Reddit X,” but accurate or not, it is the easiest way to convey the concept to an erstwhile redditor. If they fit in here, they’ll stick around and learn the terms and community. If not, they haven’t lost anything.

(I’m very much not a Fediverse authority or expert in any way. I just occasionally know things and have a burning desire to help when I can.)

Just link to it, and we’ll all understand. You don’t have to put it in reddit terms
