I’d like to buy one in Galway/Claddagh.

Any suggestion for a quality, authentic shop? TIA.

    You’ll find proper ones in most jewellers. Certainly that’s the case in Dublin. There are various options on the type of metal used which will directly correlate with pricing.

    I know that’s very broad but at least stick with a jeweller is my advice. They’re very popular with tourists and Galway’s a big tourist destination so you should have plenty of choice.

    If you can swing a trip to the Arran islands which are just off the coast I would highly recommend it. It’s about 35 minutes by regular ferry. Definitely one of my favourite destinations, especially in the off season.

    Superb bar just at the harbour and one of my absolute favourites about a twenty minute walk outside the town. Singing, late service etc.

      Other than the tourist trap spots in Dublin. Guinness & Jameson.

        My favourite tourist attraction is the newgrange burial mound. Older than the pyramids and have a burial chamber that only fully lights up on the winter solstice. I always bring foreign visiting friends. There are bus trips from the city centre.

        There and back from the city and the tour takes about half a day. You can include the round towers for about another 90 minutes on your itinerary and they’re pretty cool too.

        Worth keeping in mind.

        Best pub in Dublin imo is Mulligan’s on poolbeg street. Alternatively Doheny and Nesbitt’s if you’re staying South of the river.
