Sort-of-not-really for Lemmy. Posts you make show up in the Fediverse with a hashtag set to the community name, e.g. my posts in [email protected] show up on Mastodon under the
hashtag. You can’t really follow or interact with hashtags from Lemmy, though 1.0 is bringing some ability to tag things, so maybe it’ll start working better? You can also somehow post from Mastodon using tags so that it shows up in a Lemmy community, but I don’t see people using that too often.I think you can tag the community like a person in a Mastodon post and it shows on the community? Like @[email protected] but from Masto.Nope! Doesn’t seem to work. Could be that my mastodon instance doesn’t federate to Lemmy.world though. If you search that “user” in masto you can follow them to see posts in this community, but seemingly not make them.
