If I recall right, it’s been stated by the writer that he does score but it wouldn’t be funny to watch so we never see those.

It was still alluded in an episode where he was accidentally thrown in a volcano wanting a virgin sacrifice. He got spat out.

Funny thing is, he is indeed a socially awkward loser, but when shit hit the fan, he sided with women instead of starting a crusade against them, so I wouldn’t say nobody liked him (and he landed a few dates on the show thanks to it).

        socially awkward loser

He’s a creep and a misogynist lol. You can be socially awkward, but by being the others, that’s what makes you a loser.

I’m sure he was appreciated in some scenarios, but he was not liked.

His only friend is a little girl. Probably the only person who can tolerate him. Because A). he doesn’t treat her like a conquerable object like he does adult women, and B). emotionally, they are on the same level.

And remember!— just because someone is willing to have sex with you doesn’t make you not a loser!

He would have had one more friend. Karl, the socially inept, unlikeable nerd is quite fond of Johnny too. Johnny can’t stand him, so I don’t think that counts as a friend.

This cartoon feels particularly difficult to reboot at anything less than a pg-13. And I really hope that opinion persists for the next 4 years.

But it would be interesting to watch it as a limited series where he overcomes his preconceptions to become an actual decent person in a cooperative relationship. Or where he spirals into the extremes of toxic masculinity and becomes horrifically human. Love me a fall from grace.
