tldr; Basically what I’m looking for is the digital way of selling a dvd, which was the previous way we had to make some extra money for the club.
We’ve created a few videos from a gymnastics show for kids and we’re looking to try to use those to get some extra money into the club. We’d prefer not to put the videos on youtube for everyone to see, because obviously not everyone wants that, but is there a simple and preferably automated way to monetize sending/showing the files to people who donate?
How about using Patreon?
Back in the DVD days, people would buy those DVDs to show their support for a specific cause. The DVD itself wasn’t really the main thing. Support was.
Instead of just donating, people can spend roughly the same amount of money, and get a t-shirt, hoodie or a DVD in return. It’s sort of like a donation, but it feels different, and you get some stuff as well.
The modern version of that would be Patreon. Publish your gymnastics videos on there, and give the access to those who support the club. People don’t see it purely as a donation, because they get to watch your exclusive videos too.
Patreon and similar of, but I think you can also sell digital goods on etsy.
