Now is the time for Ukraine to just ignore the US. Stop taking calls, stop everything. There are other arms dealers out there, Europe has a chance right now to gain independence from US defense as well. Nothing would upset little Donny more than the rest of Europe telling him he’s fired before he can get around to doing it to them.

You can’t beat a bully by sucking up to them, you have to ignore them or hit them first.

As an American, I couldn’t agree more.

It sucks, but we made our bed. It’s time to lay in it.

I say this as an American who served in the military for college money (I knew this place was shite even then but our country makes the poor very desperate)

They need to kick our military bases the fuck out of Europe. We have betrayed any goodwill. Those bases are a springboard and advantage for our geopolitical interests, not theirs.

And by geopolitical interests, I mean pushing to gain more exploitation markets for our capitalists 🤮

Might be good to keep those for the immediate future. I imagine offshore bases may have a higher amount of anti-MAGA’s, being outside the US media bubble.

When the US civil war pops off, sometime in the next 5 years, offshore troops may be more likely to join the antifa side, or maybe the EU can actively detain the pro-fascist factions as POW’s, and let the antifa factions organise support missions from friendly soil; at the very least they could more easily deploy to where they’re needed the most, with EU support.

Plus, some of them have married locals and have families and friends there. Those troops will never follow any unlawful orders given

Agreed! As an American I was extremely embarrassed watching this happen, the people of Ukraine didn’t deserve this. Us real Americans don’t deserve to be in this car crash that Trump is driving us towards.

I’m not sure if Europe is willing enough to pick up the slack. Not sucking Don’s dick might mean having to concede to Russia.

I’m not sure there’s any situation where trying to appeal to Trump won’t end in conceding to Russia. For God’s sake, this admin just ordered all cyber operations in relation to Russia to cease. There is no low they won’t stoop to. Any time spent trying to make Trump see the light is time wasted where in the end Trump will try to make you give up everything.

I’m honestly surprised Trump didn’t try to have Zelensky arrested and deported to Russia.

Have you seen his security detail? Absolute giants, and those are the visible ones, lol. All have been through 3 years of brutal war. A scene where they attempt to arrest him would not have been pretty.

I am concerned as well about Europe finding the will to work together, even now when the necessity couldn’t be more obvious. However certainly there is a future where, if Europe can pull together, they can defeat Russia.

Russia isn’t so effective because they’re powerful, it’s because they’re willing to cross the line and do anything to take advantage of the comfort of their neighbors. If the EU wakes up to this, surely their combined might could comfortably contain Russia.

Okay, but this time let’s not invade in winter and make sure we bring supplies.

One good thing to come out of that meeting is that it is now totally clear with no doubt that trump was never going to support Ukraine. Europe and the other allies now clearly see that they can’t trust or depend on the US again, at least as long as trump or a trumpian leader controls the US government. Don’t despair because although it will be more difficult, with all the other allies’ unwavering support Putin can still be stopped.

The meeting was a setup to put on a display demonstrating to Putin that the US is now on Russia’s side. No matter what President Zelenskyy would have done, their goal would be achieved. By defending himself and his country against their lies they could call him ungrateful and disrespectful, and if he had not done that but sat and let them promote Putin’s talking points unchallenged, they would portray him as confirming the Russian propaganda as well as being corrupt and/or weak. So IMO he bravely did the right thing, and it was not a mistake because no amount of capitulation to trump is going to get any aid for Ukraine from the US.
