Can I suggest “What dish is made when a hen stares at lettuce?”
Something about having part of the punchline in the set-up always irks me.
Just change “chicken” to “rooster” in the setup. Bonus: it makes them head in the wrong direction thinking about cockadoodledoo puns.
That sounds more like a chicken staring at lettuce in Boston.
