I don’t think Trump really cares, just knows it’s a great way to get the hateful part of the country rallied behind him. I think he just cares about power and legacy.
Don’t forget money (which might be covered under power).
Yeah I think he’s at the point where they mostly mean the same thing, other than I think he over represents his wealth quite a bit, given the whole charging taxpayers for rooms in his own hotel for himself.
Edit: oh and the scams constantly being pulled on his cult.
