This American supports European boycotts to the fair-thee-well. We’ll suffer, but it’s worth it.

Please do, we need more competition. Come on over to Lemmy, the water is nice.

Kohinoor said she had been criticised for creating the movement’s group on Facebook, which is owned by American technology conglomerate Meta.

“We have no better alternative,” the group’s creator said. “This is about getting people together and creating a movement. I think you have to gradually change as the alternatives come.”

Turns out change has tipping points. Not particularly gradual, at all. And yes, Fedi is the way. Tell ALL your friends!

I hope she’s at least keeping backups of important data herself. Organizing a movement like this on an oligarch’s website - especially one that has gone out of his way to capitulate to Trump - is just about the worst choice possible.

I wish her the best of luck, although I’m concerned about her decision-making skills.

Trump started by threatening to annex Canada, screw over Mexico, take Panama, overthrow the Danish to acquire Greenland, cozied up to Putin, screwed over Ukraine and I’m sure he’s thinking America is getting the short end of the stick with everything he’s done.

This man of class ass has singlehandedly brought down the stock market, messed up countless lives with the removal of funding, screwed around with NAFTA, USAID, and other organization, all for what? For the U.S. to be an island onto themselves to have no other countries to sell their goods to or to import the materials they need?

I guess America can finally un-sanction Cuba and create a trade agreement with North Korea.

He’s already hurt the 1% more than years of protests ever could. That might lead to his downfall more than anything else.

The article is about boycotts in Sweden. Two examples are given, but only one from Sweden. The first link is Danish.

It is correct and great that people in Sweden boycott the USA, but take the details with a pinch of salt as the author seems very unfamiliar with Sweden.
