Summary

Donald Trump’s chaotic first 45 days are showing signs of adjustment as he faces economic and political resistance.

After market tumbles and Supreme Court resistance to DOGE team actions, Trump publicly clipped Elon Musk’s wings during a Cabinet meeting where Marco Rubio confronted Musk over State Department staff cuts.

Trump delayed tariffs on Mexico and Canada to calm markets, suggesting a shift from "shock and awe.”

The Supreme Court’s 5-4 ruling against freezing foreign aid represents another significant setback to Trump’s executive authority ambitions.

He’s just gonna invoke the insurrection act when the opposition starts to get real traction. I’m low-key suspicious he’s going to try it before the handful of special elections coming up in April.

The exchange ended with Mr. Trump telling Mr. Duffy that he had to hire people from M.I.T. as air traffic controllers. These air traffic controllers need to be “geniuses,” he said.

His comedic genius knows no bounds…

I don’t think we need geniuses, I think we just need enough people to do the job, which they don’t have.

No, we definitely want geniuses who find the work boring, like Einstein. Think of all they could accomplish when they’re stuck in a tower for long shifts of unstimulating work, think of all the math, art, and science they could produce sounds of planes crashing in the background

Idk, to me it seems like the resistance is cracking.

Courts are blocking his actions but he’s doing them anyways. DOGE took funds out of a private bank account. Trans women inmates were moved to a men’s prison. The ICE in full fucking military gear are roaming through the city streets like they own the place.

If the pressure keeps increasing and the last vestiges of hope shatter, I only hope in the fallout those Republican Traitors get a shard stuck in their eye.

Resorting to violence is just another defeat, but we will see if it’s a necessary concession, eventually.

The only way to fight off a violent dictatorial takeover is to demonstrate to those in power that they hold no monopoly on violence. This is why we have 2A.

I’ve been saying this for a long time and I will keep saying it: It doesn’t matter what people do, he’s going to find an excuse one way or another. There is no “keeping the peace” with him because he is hell-bent on destroying peace any way he can.

Defense will never cut it, y’all need to start playing offense.

The 1864 election took place during the Civil War. I grant you that he would try all sorts of bullshit, but again, this is where the citizens must do what the traitors in Congress will not.

Are y’all’s going to weather this term hoping that he doesn’t get rid of the twenty-second amendment?

Let’s just say that I have contingency plans.
