Do this enough times and eventually no one will want to do business with the US or it’s government.

Who the hell wants to do anything with a leadership that constantly flip flops on everything they say, never means a thing and constantly lies?

“America has no permanent friends or enemies, only interests.”

This is not new. Even England had a shakedown before WW2 support.

Those interests have historically been very stable over time so it was easy to tell if you were going to be a friend or foe. But they suddenly changed with the current administration and we have no idea what they are anymore.

we have no idea what they are anymore.

There’s no knowing for certain, but “Trump’s ego” and “Vladimir Putin” make for relatively good educated guesses.

That’s the thing. There’s a long line of hands taking turns in stroking his ego. Which one was last to do it? How long before the next one and who is it going to be? We don’t know any of that.

For now. The US is proving to be unreliable on the international stage.

Can confirm, am American. Whole sectors of our economy depend on grants/government spending and they’re very uncertain about their futures

i’ll keep apologizing for our buffoonery. But don’t write us all off. We will find a way to fix this. Inevitably. Just takes time in democracies.

Just like how every democracy has gone through troubling times. You can’t give up hope. It will stand this.

Sadly. Thats never really an option here because of the military state of the police. I wouldn’t feel comfortable telling anyone to go up against the police state. They’ll happily shoot other Americans. They want to.

You outnumber them. It happens all the time that mobs overrun armed defenders.

i’d like to think enough anti-putin republicans were ready to turn on krasnov that he flip-flopped… but ya, this is the more likely scenario: the pentagon is gonna feed some bad intel, and a lot of ukrainians are gonna get killed as a result.

This geriatric asshole is a one trick pony. Slap on tariff, remove the next day. Suspend aid, release the next day. I hope my country completely ditches the US and makes some new friends so we can all just ignore this asshat and get on with our lives.

Does he wake up every morning and do a d20 roll on what his opinion is going to be that day?

Seriously though, I guess he REALLY wants his name on the peace deal, whatever the cost, so he can go on to demand a Nobel Peace Prize. I expect him to get real pissy if he doesn’t get one, whining about how Obama got one.
