I finally got around to buying some wheat gluten, and I hope to make some seitan or similar in the next week or so.
I’m looking for tips from more experienced vegans on recipes that are simple (few steps and ingredients) and also tasty enough to make someone want to experiment more.
Please don’t put too much effort into this as I’m liable to lose motivation and take weeks actually getting around to it.
Do you have already made seitan or are you talking wheat gluten like the flour?
I only have the gluten flour so far, but I’ll get around to making seitan one of these days.
If you’re doing a stir fry, you can probably sub in for any recipe that calls for tofu. If the tofu is like coated in flour or cornstarch, maybe that wouldn’t work (not sure), but if there’s a recipe that’s just frying tofu and other things, probably can just use the seitan.
