I’ve been having the same problem, it happens a lot and I’m not sure why because it seems like requests for liking/commenting features are getting through to the server.
I don’t think it is the apps fault. Lemmy in general has had server issues everywhere and I think it triggers that popup
maybe but liking stuff goes through much faster in the mobile website than in jerboa. I always have to tap multiple times in jerboa and rarely more than once in firefox. and I always get the timeout even when it finally works.
Jerboa seems to always work though, even if you get the timeout. I think it’s just a visual problem.
No idea why, and I am unsure if it’s on any devs minds.
I have the issue even when I’m inside of a post and just reading comments… It would black out the whole post.
Because I’m laying in my hammock out back with a beverage and my wifi isn’t pulling its weight outside the house
