My preference is pineapple, ham, and jalapeños. You get that spicy-salty-sweet-greasy-carb thing going, and it is AWESOME. I call it a Tex-waiian pizza.

Didn’t it turn out that in fact pineapple on pizza was the majority supported preference, numerically, when there was a huge poll?

Or am I just completely misremembering this.

Pineapple alone? Take it easy, there, Satan.

But pineapple with a sweet/savoury meat like ham or bacon to contrast the flavour? Absolute heaven.

For a decade I’ve been eating pineapple with pepperoni and jalapeño. Highly recommend you try this once!

I almost always choose pineapple, jalapeños, and some meat. Usually chicken, steak, or pepperoni.

Pineapple and olive is the best two topping pizza. Throw on some chili flakes if you must but the sweet and salty? Perfection

I’ve actually wanted to try this, but

      1. the rubber o-rings that many pizza places use for olives are gross
      2. my wife dislikes olives

I wonder if anchovies would be good for this.

Slice your own Kalamata or green olives in brine, the flavor improvement is noticeable. Anchovies might be good for the same, but if you’re going for a protein, why not go true Hawaiian style (not from Hawaii I’m pretty certain) and use Canadian bacon?

I hate pineapple and tomato sauce together so no to piña pizza but anchovies, kalamata olives, and crushed red pepper is delicious. Onion too if you are looking to add the sweet element, but it doesn’t need it.

I do like other versions of cooked pineapple (pineapple and shrimp skewers marinated in chili paste are transcendently delicious, and pineapple upside down cake is good) but not with tomato sauce and cheese NO.

I wouldn’t go as far as to agree it’s the best, but it is delicious.

I think since this is Lemmy, we should embrace and accept pineapple on pizza, as opposed to Reddit, where it was hated

Best? No. The best is durian pizza.

    Pineapple is pretty spiffy though.

I love Italian sausage and pineapple. Outstanding combination. I can’t really enjoy typical Hawaiian though. I like pineapple and I like Canadian bacon, but not together

What if you don’t even like pineapple?
