Apple Watch charging module supplies to accessory vendors set to change

Apple has told accessory producers that it will now solely be supplying them with its fast-charging Apple Watch charging module, meaning future accessories will drop the older, slower charger.

    I think this is a good thing. I use my watch in my sleep and charge it full before and afterwards.

    Hopefully this means Apple will also update their own accessories to the fast charging standard too. Looking at you MagSafe duo

    I endorse this. Slow charging an Apple Watch ultra is painfully slow and there’s no definitive way of telling a slow charging puck from a fast one unless you buy directly from Apple. The least they could’ve done was put a logo on the fast charger or ver 2 or something to visually differentiate it.

    Forcing them to all be fast charging is the proper move as they’re also backwards compatible.
