    so……… We ever going to get decent refurbished 16TB drives for a decent price? Or am I gonna get a pcie Sata card to expand the array still at 4 to 8tb at a time still?

      No joke, with URE rates still at 10^14 bits, you’re almost garanteed to hit another error during resilver of these monsters which is why ZFS/RAIDZ is basically mandatory at this point.
