Our cupboards are becoming bare! We are rehabbing over 350+ animals at this time and doing over 1,000 feedings a day.
We are in desperate need of dehydrated mealworms, Pinesol, medium and large exam gloves, blue painters tape, live earthworms & red wrigglers, 1" masking tape, canned caterpillars, unsweetened applesauce, Gerber baby rice cereal, blue ink pens, kleenex, toilet paper, antibacterial hand soap.

Sharing this one, not necessarily for you to give to these guys, but to give you an idea of what your local shelter may be in need of!
Time and money are the most helpful overall things you can give as they can be put to near unlimited uses, but if you feel better donating supplies, there is always something we need to care for, and especially clean up after, all these animals.
Find your local rescue and do what you can to benefit the animals where you are!
None of them get tax money, it’s all from donations from individuals or businesses. I’ll be working out open house all Sunday, and it’s one of our biggest fundraising opportunities and a rare chance for the public to see our operation and all the good we do.
Volunteer and you can help take care of all these little cuties and more! (Pre-exposure rabies vaccine may apply for most of the mammals!)
Skunks? Has anyone been sprayed?! The little opossum looks happy, even though the feet are dangling. All the photos are delightful, thank you for showing us!
Btw the kitten fairy said I’m not to mess with the kitten distribution system. I have the new one sent over sleeping on my chest, right now. She doesn’t cry a lot, but she’s inconsistent with litter box use. She’s about the same age as the other.
My senior baby has started vomiting after feeding, Friday night through yesterday, even though yesterday morning, they only got rice in the morning, vomited it up several hours later, and home cooked chicken broth yesterday evening, still vomited several hours later. I’m fearing a stomach tumor and am considering how to fund* a vet visit. They’re sleeping next to me, and seem playful, in between bouts of sleep and sickness. They also like the cat, but warm her with a low growl, when she plays without soft paws.
I’ve cleaned up a lot of bodily fluids this weekend!
Oh no! I hope senior feels better! It can be quite the ride emotionally taking care of all these critters.
I worked the open house all day today after I got the raptors and opossums fed. I finally got to see mamma and the kids! They’re so big already! They scurried off to sanctuary before I could get any pics.
We also got a new Screech, but it refused to come out. It just got fed by forceps stuck into the clicking void. 😁
I forgot today was open house! How did it go? Mama and baby Le Pews?

Yes, it is a ride. Poor older fella got a kind of egg drop soup, with watered down broth, no salt, about 2::00 and refused it until I dropped a thin slice of boiled egg that I was eating, into it. We went on a short walk, and just relaxed in the AC, other than that. Lots of pets, kept one hand busy playing with Miss Chevious (because she wanted to play with Senior’s ears, tail, etc), the other petting Senior. We just came inside from a bathroom break and so far so good. I can tell Senior feels hungry, and promised if everything stays down tonight, tomorrow we’ll try some well-chopped plain chicken that made the broth. I hope whatever it was is past-tense, and am encouraged by results, so far.

It went well, beside me crushing my finger 5 minutes after I got there. The little tool shed’s door did not stay open as I thought it did…
I was able to take a few pictures and collect some fun stories that I’ll post tomorrow. We really had a beautiful day and what sounds like a record turnout. They sounded very pleased with the money we raised, and it’s going to help us out big time.
I will continue thinking happy thoughts for senior!

I’m so glad to hear it! A couple of summers ago I slammed a small car door shut on my fingers. I saw stars for a few and I’m so glad my buddy saw and was able to open the door while my eyes were watering!
