Hi, I’m legally blind, have okay eyesight, but not great. I prefer a larger screen just to make my life a bit easier. I’ve been on the fence for a bit about upgrading to the Pixel 7Pro as the screen is decently larger. I understand it’s also just a better phone over all, but that’s my #1 consideration. Do you have any other thoughts? I’m in the US and I like Pixels more then just about any other phone due to the stripped down system, but I am open to other suggestions as long as they don’t cost more then my mortgage payment.
I can’t comment on the 7 pro directly, but if you are able to wait until Fall, then Google will likely release the Pixel 8 series, triggering a big sale on the 7 series. I’d wait either way and then you can get a 7 pro for cheap or splurge for the newest one if it fits you better.
At this point I’d wait for the Pixel 8
I made the switch from a 4a to a 6a just because of the screen size. I was having problems with the on screen keyboard. I am very happy with the change.
One thing to consider with the 7pro is it is a curve (at the side edges) screen so if you use screen protectors, at least the tempered glass ones, are more expensive/more work to install.
I usually use a wallet case so for the most part I don’t bother with stick on protectors, but it’s good to know, thanks.
As a blind user myself do you know how to use talkback? If not now is the time to learn
I do use talkback, and the built in adaptive zoom as well. But still nice to not have to rely on not-perfect adaptation.
