You have to be crazy to watch YouTube without an ad-blocker in this day and age! On mobile (Android at least), Firefox with ublock works well for YouTube.

I clicked the ad to waste their ad budget and surprisingly they didn’t block comments (but zero comments with 400k views, probably they got deleted)
I don’t think they care about the budget. They probably care more about impressions and clicks. So, just use an adblocker, to lower their ad impressions.
