Anyone ever been to one of these concerts where an orchestra plays music from the movies? I’m going to one in 3 weeks and am really looking forward to it. I’m hoping they show scenes from the movies during the songs.
I haven’t been to a Ghibli one, but I did go to one of the early Distant Worlds ones for Final Fantasy music and it was fantasitc. For Distant Worlds, they had a big screen playing scenes and I’m sure Ghibli would do the same. Should be a blast.

Friends booked one concert with tickets to 4 people through Facebook ads (“listen to the music from whatever Studio Ghibli movie”) that was supposed to play at a central location (Konserthuset) in Stockholm, Sweden. It turned out that those specific posting/ad/related comments on Facebook were scams. They tried again (naively through Facebook) and were scammed again.
To anyone wanting to attend these concerts, look at the concert venue or contact them before buying tickets. My friends (naive but lovely elderly people) have spent what amounts to hundreds of dollars on those terrible Facebook scam ads.
